OS IMPACTOS DA CONSTRUÇÃO DA BARRAGEM DO RIO PARDO NA CIDADE DE BOTUCATU

Resumo

A cidade de Botucatu - SP, em dezembro de 2018, financiou R$ 56,1 milhões com a Caixa Econômica Federal, para a construção da Barragem do Rio Pardo, um dos maiores rios do estado de São Paulo, e de grande importância para a cidade. A construção de barragens é importante, pois possibilita o aumento da oferta de água. Além disso, ela apresenta outros fins como a agricultura, área para recreação e atividades de piscicultura. Sendo assim, este trabalho teve por objetivo analisar os impactos positivos e negativos decorrentes da construção da Barragem do Rio Pardo no aspecto ambiental e identificar as oportunidades de gestão, que possam ser aplicadas para que o desenvolvimento e consolidação do projeto para que ele seja um projeto eficiente e com o menor dano ambiental possível. Ao final do trabalho, verificou-se que a construção da Barragem do Rio Pardo trará pontos positivos e negativos para a cidade e para minimizar os negativos é muito importante uma boa gestão para tentar prever possíveis problemas que possam decorrer da construção da barragem, bem como a recuperação da fauna e flora local.

IMPACTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF RIO PARDO DAM IN THE CITY OF BOTUCATU

ABSTRACT

In December 2018, the city of Botucatu - SP, financed R$56.1 million with Caixa Econômica Federal, for the construction of the Rio Pardo Dam, one of the largest rivers in the state of São Paulo, and of great importance to the city.Construction of dams is important because it makes it possible to increase the supply of water. It also serves other purposes such as agriculture, recreation area and fish farming activities. This paper aimed to analyze the positive and negative environmental impacts arising from the construction of Rio Pardo Dam and to identify management opportunities that can be applied for the development and consolidation of the project so that it is an efficient project with the least possible environmental damage. Results show that the construction of the Rio Pardo Dam will bring both positive and negative points to the city. In order to minimize the negative points, it is very important to have good management to try to foresee possible problems that may arise from the construction of the dam, as well as the recovery of the local fauna and flora.
